Madhya Pradesh Rain: For the last few days, Madhya Pradesh (Heavy Rain Madhya Pradesh) has been witnessing heavy rains, which have come on the river-drain. Water has entered the houses. Life has become disrupted in Bhopal and Vidisha. Parvati river is in spate in Sehore. Mandla district received a record 134 mm of rain (Madhya Pradesh Rain). In addition to Bhopal and Vidisha, the Bargi dam on the Narmada River in Jabalpur became waterlogged. 21 gates of the dam have been opened.

In view of heavy rains, heavy rain has been warned for 3-4 days in the entire state. Due to this, in many districts including Bhopal, school-colleges will be closed today (Monday). The rain has flooded the lower settlements, and traffic has been affected.

The state has been raining intermittently for more than 36 hours. The rainy season continued till Sunday night. There was heavy rains on Monday morning as well. Due to rain, many low-lying settlements in the capital Bhopal and metropolitan Indore were flooded.

State Public Relations Minister PC Sharma visited the affected poor settlements in Bhopal amid continuous heavy rains. Sharma instructed District Collector Tarun Pithode to provide ration and relief materials immediately to the families affected by water logging. The slum dwellers in the lower area should be shifted to multi-buildings. Survey of affected families should be provided to them immediately.
