Ganesh Visarjan 2019: The idol of Lord Ganpati is established on the day of Ganesh Chaturthi by law and it is immersed in water according to the auspicious time on the day of Anant Chaturdashi. Today is Anant Chaturdashi, today the idols of Ganesha will be immersed throughout the country. The answer to Mahabharata is why the Ganpati immerses his idol in water after worshiping and serving with Bappa’s legal practice for 10 days. Let us know what is the reason-

Story of Ganesh Visarjan / Ganesh Visarjan Katha

According to mythological beliefs, Ved Vyas Ji narrated the story of Mahabharata to Ganesha for 10 days from Ganesh Chaturthi, which Ganesh ji scripted non-stop. After 10 days when Ved Vyas ji opened his eyes, he found that due to tireless hard work, Ganesha’s body temperature has increased a lot.

He immediately took Ganesha to a nearby lake and cooled his body. This normalized his body temperature. It is for this reason that Anant Chaturdashi’s idols of Ganesha are immersed in water.

Ved Vyas ji put a paste of Saundhi mud on his body to reduce the temperature of Ganapati Bappa. Ganesha’s body swelled as the paste dried. To get rid of this, he took Ganesha into a lake.

Then he served Ganesh ji for 10 days, gave favorite food etc. Since then, the installation and immersion of the Ganesh idol began to take place.
